Placement Program

Provides travel and professional development opportunities for people who work or volunteer in the small-to-medium museum and gallery sector.

Volunteer Museum Grants – application

  • Accepted file types: jpg, gif, png, pdf, jpeg, doc, ppt, mov, mp4, docx, Max. file size: 50 MB.
  • Applicants must submit the following support material:
    • Quotes to support every expense for which funding is requested
    • A copy of the organisation’s Collection Policy
    • The organisation’s most recent annual financial report. (National Trust properties must supply the most recent “12 Month Detailed Statement of Financial Performance” for your property)
    • The organisation's most recent bank statements
    • If applying for a digitisation project, please attach your plan for the ongoing management of the digital copies
    • If you are using a consultant please attach their CV
      In addition, applicants may submit:
    • Letters of support from relevant organisations and individuals (such as your Regional Museum Advisor)
    • A copy of the organisation’s Strategic / Business Plan
    • A copy of any other policy relevant to your application
    • Sample text and design if applying for a promotional brochure
    • A treatment proposal and a significance statement for each object if applying for conservation work
    • Any other documentation associated with the project that will support your application (such as photographs, layouts, maps, fabric samples etc)

    Dobell Exhibition Grant

    Supporting the development of innovative curated visual art exhibitions in regional NSW galleries.

    Audience Development Fund

    Assistance for publicly funded salaried museums and galleries in NSW assistance in targeting and developing new audiences.
