The exhibition will offer a diverse range of perspectives and reflections of the 100 years since the beginning of the First World War (WW1) and to the ANZAC Centenary in 2015. The First World War involved many nations around the world and residents of Auburn City have come from many of those nations and share a common history in relation to WW1. In particular, Auburn City is in an unique position of having a significant number of community members who have Turkish ancestry to draw on for two sides of the Gallipoli story, reflecting on our shared history at Gallipoli and for activities and commemorations in the community during the centenary period.
