The Storyplace Roadshow

In 2023 and 2024, another facet of Storyplace will evolve and take to the road – a touring project we’ve called Storyplace Roadshow. The Roadshow will be an ‘all M&G NSW hands on deck’ project led by the M&G NSW’s Galleries team but supported by the Museum and Storyplace teams.

Storyplace Roadshow will be a series of touring workshops centring on the different processes behind Storyplace – collection care, research, documentation and digitisation, as well as using objects for school education activities.

The project will see some changes made to the website that will highlight both existing and newly commissioned stories which are connected to the NSW School curriculum. We will work with existing and new partners to select and develop relevant stories and education-focused resources to support teachers’ use of Storyplace.

With many facets of the Roadshow still in development, we can’t wait to bring more news as the program unfolds. The Storyplace Roadshow will realise a long-wished-for opportunity to integrate the stories of regional places, people, and communities into school curriculum learning through utilising regional museum collections.
