Heritage & Collections Volunteers – everything from ‘hands on’ tinkering and fixing to restoring really big things !
Do you enjoy working with your hands tinkering and repairing, fixing or recreating things? Have a passion for heritage, vintage or old things?
Or just looking to envoy volunteering with a great team of people?
Transport Heritage NSW is looking for volunteers to join our passionate Heritage & Collection team and work on a range of different projects to help us restore, care for and conserve a wide range of rail heritage collection items for generations to come.
Current projects include:
• RU 24468 Grain Hopper Wagon (built in the late 1930’s) restoration
• ‘Bronzewing’ steam locomotive (built in 1937) restoration
• 3820 – the last 38’class passenger steam locomotive designed and built in Australia – reconstruction
• 7921 diesel electric locomotive from the 1940’s
