Working Hours: Full-time, Tuesday – Saturday
About the Role:
Justin Miller Art is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Gallery Manger & Digital Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic and creative team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in digital marketing, including experience in paid Facebook and Instagram advertising, email marketing (eDM campaigns), and overall digital strategy. We are looking for an individual who is computer literate, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the growth and development of our vibrant gallery.
As a Gallery Manager, you will work closely with the gallery team to support day-to-day operations and ensure the successful execution of both exhibitions and digital marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Focus on art sales and client liaison.
• Assist with gallery operations, exhibition administration, project management and client engagement, including greeting clients and handling inquiries.
• Manage and execute paid Facebook and Instagram marketing campaigns to promote gallery exhibitions and featured artists.
• Create and send engaging eDM campaigns to our gallery’s subscriber list to drive engagement and sales.
• Update and maintain the gallery’s website with new content, exhibition details, and announcements.
• General upkeep of gallery ensuring a clean and tidy presentation of the gallery is maintained.
• Organise the transport, framing, and installation of artworks as required.
• Help coordinate exhibition openings and assist with gallery events.
• Support the maintenance of our client database and communication systems.
• Monitor and track the performance of digital marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Selection Criteria:
• Strong computer literacy and digital marketing experience, including managing paid campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, creating eDMs, and using other online marketing tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience with website content management (e.g., WordPress or similar).
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Prior experience in a gallery or cultural institution is advantageous.
Desirable Skills:
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
• Basic video editing and content creation skills for social media.
• An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in art or a related field is highly desirable.
