Operations Gallery Assistant & Manager (Part-Time/Full-Time)
REDBASE Art is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Operations Gallery Assistant &Manager to join our team in Gadigal/Sydney. This dynamic on-site role requires close collaboration with a small, dedicated team to deliver exhibitions, public programs, participating in art fairs, and community events.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth day-to-day gallery operations and deliver exceptional visitor experiences.
Liaise effectively with artists, curators, educators, and other stakeholders.
Manage communications across email, phone, Zoom, and in-person interactions.
Oversee logistics and operations for gallery exhibitions, public programs, and venue management.
Plan, build, and manage exhibitions, art fair participation, and gallery collaborations.
Develop and oversee venue hire opportunities

Redbase is a contemporary art gallery with locations in Australia and Indonesia, committed to fostering cross-cultural dialogue in the Asia-Pacific region. Alongside our gallery operations, we run a non-profit Foundation to support impactful arts programming.
Since its establishment in 2021, Redbase Sydney has proudly showcased contemporary Asia-Pacific art, highlighting both established and emerging artists. With a strong curatorial focus, we produce thought-provoking exhibitions and participate in prestigious art fairs, representing artists from vibrant cultural hubs such as China, Korea, and Indonesia.
Gallery Hours:
Tuesday – Friday: 11:00 – 17:00
Saturday: 12:00 – 17:00
