Engagement Manager
MAMA seeks an exceptional professional to join the museum’s leadership team as Engagement Manager, reporting to the MAMA CEO. The position is responsible for audience development initiatives, marketing and communications, visitor experience and for designing and delivering public engagement programs across the museum. As MAMA enters its tenth year of operation this is a wonderful opportunity for a public engagement specialist with a passion for art, culture and community to drive the museum’s audience reach and impact.
The successful candidate will have Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in art, education, communications, or related disciplines as well as experience in audience development or public engagement in similar roles; experience in the communication of complex ideas in accessible ways; experience in the management of a diverse and multi-disciplinary team; and an appreciation for the value of contemporary art to culture.
Core role functions:
– Lead public engagement initiatives, including public programs and events, schools and education programs, wellbeing, access and social impact programs.
– Manage and develop the MAMA brand and visual identity in support of the museum’s mission and objectives.
– Oversee the marketing and digital activity relating to of the museum’s programs and commercial activities.
– Oversee delivery of visitor experience onsite at the museum incorporating events, tours, resources, and visitor experience staff and volunteer engagement.
– Build community participation and local audiences through a proactive outreach and partnership program.
Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) is a regionally transformative, globally engaged art museum located on Wiradjuri Country, on the Milawa / Murray River. In addition to the river cities of Albury and Wodonga, MAMA is connected to communities across the southern plains of New South Wales, through North East Victoria, into the Alpine region.
