Sarah Gurich

Sarah GurichSarah Gurich is Director of Grafton Regional Gallery located on Bundjalung country in the Clarence River region of Northern NSW. A respected arts professional with two decades experience working in the public gallery sector, Sarah has extensive experience leading teams to deliver ambitious and celebrated artistic programs comprising exhibitions, public and education projects, commissions, public art projects, festivals, residencies, touring projects, partnerships, and publications.

Prior to Grafton Regional Gallery, Sarah was the Director of Bathurst Regional Art Gallery where she oversaw a robust program of contemporary art projects and the development and implementation of Bathurst’s first Public Art Policy. Sarah has held also held roles as Curator at Bathurst Regional Gallery, and inaugural Exhibitions Manager at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre and Blue Mountains City Art Gallery. In 2017, Sarah was selected as the NSW Exhibition Team Leader at the Australian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale for the Tracey Moffatt: My Horizon exhibition.

An accomplished creative programmer, Sarah is committed to the principles of consultation and collaboration to support and promote regional artists and to connect communities through art and culture. An active advocate for the regional arts and culture sector, Sarah currently sits on the Arts Northern Rivers Board (Alternate) and Cultural Counsel and has previously been President of the Regional & Public Galleries Association of NSW.
