Greens Gunyah Museum

Greens Gunyah Museum has an extensive range of historical artefacts, photography and machinery on display.

We are also home to the Doris Golder Gallery of layered wool art. A unique and fascinating art form consisting of portraits and landscapes constructed in natural coloured fleece wool. This collection has been donated to the Lockhart people by the artist and has become a focal point of tourist interest in the town.

The museum houses artefacts from Brookong Station; a nationally important story that illustrates changes in land tenure, land use and the character of rural settlements from when they were first settled in the 1840s through to the 20th Century.
