Joint IAEA–ANSTO Workshop on Nuclear and Isotopic Techniques for Cultural Heritage
06 Dec - 09 Dec 2021
From the 6th to the 9th of December the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) are conducting a joint workshop on nuclear and isotopic techniques used for cultural heritage research. The event will be similar to the successful 2018 ANSTO Nuclear Techniques for Cultural Heritage workshop. This year the event is entirely virtual and attendance is free.
The program will consist of presentations by ANSTO scientists on the techniques and capabilities at ANSTO, illustrated with case study examples. There will be key note speakers each day and talks from presenters from countries in the region. The workshop is part of a broader cooperative research centre ANSTO has with the IAEA to promote collaboration within the region. There will be an IAEA presentation and a discussion forum on the last day of the workshop.
Attendee registration and abstract submission both close on the 1st of November. In addition there will be a lunch-time summary session on the 9th of December for those who aren’t available for the full workshop. This will also be online, free and will have a separate registration with a due date closer to the event.
