What are the logistics, troubleshooting and planning involved in curating an exhibition of large objects? Join Powerhouse Curator Damian McDonald for this informative and inspiring webinar. Damian is curator of the exhibition Microcars, currently on display at the Powerhouse.
To curate and exhibit large objects requires a particular set of conditions to be considered. From housing to transport and display, Damian will provide a wealth of information from his long experience as a curator, working on many exhibitions, curating across several areas of the Museum’s collection, including transport, communication, health and medicine, and Australian social history.

Damian has curated the exhibitions Wartime Innovation: Learning from Loss, Recollect: Health and Medicine, Out of Hand: Materialising the Digital, Design Nation, and Maton: Australia’s Guitar to name just a few.
This webinar is designed for staff and volunteers of smaller museums and the collecting sector. A 30-minute presentation with slides will be followed by a 15-minute Q+A session. The webinar is free but booking is essential. Participants can pre-register their questions.
