Holly Riding
Profile

With an academic background in Interactive Design, Holly looks at the role in which art, space, and technology can engage with audiences to provoke, communicate and create impactful experiences in both analogue and digital realms. Holly applies this method of thinking to all exhibition spaces and projects, with the goal to entice audiences through meaningful engagement. Her passion for exhibition interactive design stems from her interest in spacial design and how exhibitions can communicate current issues or themes by enabling the reinterpretation of artwork within a contemporary context. By incorporating the physical and social context into the exhibition design process, the significance of works exposes visitors to complete immersion and individual reinterpretation.

Holly has worked in museums, galleries and art spaces throughout Sydney and Brisbane, Australia for over 10 years in a variety of capacities. Curating annual Indigenous Art exhibitions at NSW Parliament Fountain Court Gallery and the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence, in addition to designing, building and installing permanent interactive exhibits for Redcliffe Museum, Pine Rivers Heritage Museum, and Bribie Island Seaside Museum.

With certifications in both Project Management and Work Health and Safety, Holly has experience working from initial design concept through to working directly with contractors to build and install. From this process, she has vast experience in designing building plans and public safety certifications to both create and/or renovate permanent exhibition spaces, large-scale exhibition displays and hands-on exhibition equipment.
