A new Regional Gallery for Coffs Harbour

Plans are under way to deliver a new state-of-the-art regional gallery and central library for Coffs Harbour, as part of a new cultural and civic space.

The Cultural and Civic Space project aims to bring substantial cultural, social and economic benefits to the region.

It is proposed to include:

  • a new state-of-the-art Central Library and Regional Gallery
  • a multi-purpose meeting space to also be used for Council meetings and
  • Council customer service and administration offices.

The location of the Regional Museum is also being reviewed for potential inclusion in the project scope. However, the project does not include a performing arts or entertainment centre as an evaluation of needs for a performing arts space is progressing as a separate project.
