New Chair and Board Appointment Announced at M&G NSW

Judy Jaeger, Kylie Tung, Liam Keenan

Museums & Galleries of NSW is delighted to announce the appointment of Judy Jaeger as Chair, replacing outgoing Chair Kylie Tung.

Judy brings extensive local government experience, having worked in community and cultural leadership roles in rural, regional and growth area councils. She played an instrumental role in the relocation and redevelopment of Maitland Regional Art Gallery and made a significant contribution to the planning for the redevelopment of Newcastle Art Gallery. Judy’s work across community cultural institutions is also complemented by her leadership role in regional economic development, where cultural tourism plays a critical role.

We also thank Kylie for her enormous contribution to the organisation since she joined the Board in 2020, which included taking on the role of Chair from 2024. Kylie brought an important understanding of governance and finance to her role, which has ensured the organisation is maintained in a solid position.

We are also thrilled to announce the appointment of Liam Keenan to the Board of Directors. Liam is a Gamilaroi man who grew up connected to Country in North-West NSW. He is currently Senior Producer, First Nations Programs at Museums of History NSW and was previously a curator of First Nations art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. He is passionate about supporting the growth of Indigenous creative practices in regional New South Wales and exploring the potential of new-media projects in museums.
