Announcing the Australia Council Arts Governance Program

Arts Governence Program

How does your board prepare for the future? How does it know it's doing a good job and what is its role in monitoring the organisation's artistic health?

These are some of the questions that will be tackled in the Australia Council Arts Governance Program, presented nationally in partnership with the Institute of Community Directors Australia, an Our Community enterprise.

This is an opportunity for the leaders of arts organisations to enhance their governance practices through a program tailored specifically to the arts. We are pleased to announce two components of this program- a full day workshop for small-medium organisations, and a webinar series.

Workshop registrations are now open, and places are limited. This full-day workshop will be delivered nationally, including in all state/territory capital cities and selected regional centres. The first set of dates are listed below, with further dates to be announced later this year. All participants receive a complimentary two- year membership to the Institute of Community Directors Australia, an Our Community enterprise.

Museums & Galleries of NSW helps small-medium museums, galleries and Aboriginal cultural centres create exciting experiences for visitors and, through this, thriving local NSW communities. We don't run museums, galleries and cultural centres but we care about those who do. We develop their skills, connect them with others in the industry, provide funding, point visitors their way, and give them access to ground-breaking exhibitions.

Museums & Galleries of NSW is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW.
