Museum Director

Working with the Museum’s committee and volunteers, the Director will be expected to provide professional leadership across:• strategic planning and succession;

• collection management, cataloguing and conservation;
• exhibition and interpretation development;
• development of organised group visitation and cultural tourism;
• community engagement and participation;
• grants, sponsorship and other funding opportunities;
• volunteer development and organisational systems;
• partnerships with Council, Museums & Galleries of NSW and other cultural and heritage organisations; and
• investigation of appropriate recognition, accreditation and significance pathways for the collection.

An important objective of the appointment will be to develop an operating structure which is sustainable and not dependent upon any one individual.
