Curator
Curators are appointed for their expert knowledge of art, history, and visual culture, particularly related to portraiture, for the core business of developing and presenting innovative and engaging exhibitions, and interpreting the National Portrait Gallery’s collection.
The Curator will work with the collection and exhibitions team in the development and delivery of exhibitions and programs; and liaise with and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, locally and across Australia.
The Curator will possess a strong knowledge of Australian art and history. Excellent written and communication skills, together with a highly organised and professional attitude are essential to succeed in this role.
