About
“Step into the Past”.
22 rooms within a historically significant Hotel (The Criterian – or the “bottom pub” to the locals), transport you back to when Germanton/Holbrook was a young town in rural New South Wales.
The Woolpack Inn Museum is the perfect place to learn about, see and travel to this time, though not so long ago, when a Rabbito had his horse drawn hut to camp in at night; Grandma used to hand sew, bake and cook, using her wood fired stove and Grand-dad ploughed the paddocks with the help of horses and caught the rabbits for dinner.
Wander through the 22 rooms, including the Holbrook Room (local Holbrook and district history), the medical room and the old kitchen and dining room, just to name a few. Then head out the back to our re-established garden and have a look at the antique farm machinery, the Bakery House and the Old Schoolhouse. See the “Rabbito’s Hut”!
