Grenfell Museum
Grenfell Museum is housed in the renovated School of Arts building built in 1896. The museum houses a large collection of local history in the form of documents, photographs and static displays.
The Museum has almost completed the cataloguing of its collection of approximately 4000 photographs and will shortly launch a new exhibit on bushranging in the area with emphasis on Ben Hall, known to use a hide out in the nearby Weddin Mountains.
Drawcards of the Museum include material on the poet Henry Lawson, tennis player Jan Lehane and cricketer Stan McCabe.
The Grenfell Museum is operated by the Grenfell Historical Society. Come and see us soon!
