1076 – 140th Anniversary of Entry into Service – Saturday 20 April 2024
The GLRPS would like to invite members of the public to our first Public Activity for 2024.

1076 is a railway icon in Goulburn. It is our engine and we intend to return it to steam later this year, after a few years hiatus due mainly to the effects of the Covid Pandemic.

1076 was built by Vulcan Engineering in the United Kingdom and entered service in April 1884.

Normal opening times and entry requirements will prevail.

The event schedule is –
11:00am – 1076 will be presented to the public by being moved to the turntable and undertake a few revolutions to present itself at all angles.

11:15am – 1076 will be moved adjacent to the GRHC Visitors Centre to allow patrons to access the footplate via a set of stairs.

1076 will remain on display until closing time, whereupon it will be returned to the Roundhouse.

Please note that 1076 will not be in steam and unfortunately disabled access to the footplate will not be available.
