    The Movie Poster Museum

Visit Australia's oldest operational picture theatre! Opened in 1936 you can still enjoy a new release movie in Art Deco surrounds. The Theatre also holds a collection of memorabilia that will evoke rural New South Wales in the mid twentieth century. The AMUSU Theatre still boasts the original carbon projectors, original seating including the "love seat", original flooring and curtains. Original old movie posters of yesteryear decorate the walls.

It still screens all the latest release films every third Saturday night of the month at 7.30pm including a free supper after the movie and is available to coaches, social clubs, sporting clubs and schools. Watch a movie and come and visit the new and developing Poster Museum, next door to the theatre. There are hundreds of original movie posters for sale.

Bookings are essential for groups and catering.

Museums & Galleries of NSW helps small-medium museums, galleries and Aboriginal cultural centres create exciting experiences for visitors and, through this, thriving local NSW communities. We don't run museums, galleries and cultural centres but we care about those who do. We develop their skills, connect them with others in the industry, provide funding, point visitors their way, and give them access to ground-breaking exhibitions.

Museums & Galleries of NSW is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW.
