Handy with Scissors, a creative agency and consultancy founded and led by Susie Rugg, specialises in both small and large-scale workshop development and facilitation, public programming, and festival curation.
With a specific focus on youth and family audiences, Susie is deeply passionate about celebrating children as artists in their own right and creating meaningful opportunities for adults and children to learn and create side by side.
Sustainability is ingrained in everything we do. We not only prioritise but also celebrate the use of recycled materials and champion the art of creative reuse.
Susie served as the Kids and Families Producer at the Museum of Contemporary Art from 2013 to 2020 and curated and produced the Way Out West festival at Casula Powerhouse in 2022 and 2023.
As an avid maker herself, Susie collaborates with a dedicated team of artists, art educators, graphic designers and scenic artists to deliver thoughtful, sustainable, and playful events and experiences.
