As part of the preparation for the temporary closure of Powerhouse Ultimo, the museum is identifying and offering resources and materials no longer required to other museums, galleries, and not-for-profit agencies.

Due to overwhelming interest in the Powerhouse Museum Expression of Interest program, some items have been very popular and oversubscribed. We continue to welcome all applications and appreciate the enthusiasm and support shown by everyone to date and will be in contact with all applicants in April.

March 29, 2024 Deadline for submission of all EOIs
April 1 – 5, 2024 Powerhouse Museum will evaluate all EOIs and contact recipients about available items.
April 8 – 26, 2024 Collection Period.

CONDITIONS OF PICK UP:

Pick-up location is 87 Macarthur Street Ultimo 2007 NSW
Recipients must arrange transportation for all pieces and provide all necessary materials for secure transport, such as safety straps, pillows, and blankets.
Recipients are required to notify the museum with a minimum of 48 hours in advance before coming on-site. This notification should include details of who is coming and the mode of transportation (e.g., truck, van).
On-site staff is present to assist, but their availability is limited. To ensure smooth collection, kindly bring sufficient personnel for loading and transportation.
The items are presented in their current condition, and receiving institutions are expected to assume full responsibility upon pickup. Transferor agrees to indemnify and hold Transferee harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of the use or ownership of the item.
