Gallery Lane Cove recently launched extensive new studios facilities, and will now be known as Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios.

The newly refurbished Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios is the culmination of many years of community advocacy with the support of the Lane Cove Council. It will provide a new creative precinct offering a wide range of artmaking workshops including dedicated painting and drawing, printmaking, ceramics and textiles studios, and artist studios, alongside the gallery’s exhibition space.

The Creative Studios will present a program of term classes, workshops, masterclasses and facility hire opportunities in six creative disciplines: Printmaking, Ceramics, Painting, Drawing, Textiles and Jewellery. 

Another important feature is the ability to host concurrent artists-in-residence programs. Three working studios will be available either for hire or programmed as artist residency spaces. The inaugural artist-in-residence is Travis de Vries, the 2018 Create NSW Aboriginal Arts Fellow, and is supported by Lane Cove Council. 

Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios is a cultural facility provided by the Lane Cove Council and managed by Centrehouse, with Guy Warren AM as one of its trustees during its formative years.

Centrehouse is a not-for-profit community arts organisation that is self-funded with the assistance of a Lane Cove Council Financial Assistance Grant and has been operating art, language and cultural courses, classes, facilities and programs for over 45 years. The new studio facilities will enable expanded programming.
