Free History Course at UTS

Making history in the 21st century

As part of the UTS Open and its free Taster Courses, UTS has devised a course that introduces students to the GLAM sector and historical research.

The Making history in the 21st century course sets out to equip students with the skills, context and critical ideas required to source archives in online environments and interrogate them before gaining a richer understanding of why they matter and how they can be used.

These Taster Courses generally take three to five hours of your time and all online, so whether you want to learn on your mobile or desktop, they provide learning flexibility.

If you are currently stuck at home practising social distancing, why not consider upskilling and come out the other side a historian.

This course is recommended for:

  • Historians
  • Archivists
  • Curators
  • Historical researchers
  • Authors
  • Filmmakers
  • Creatives
