Call for abstracts for AICCM online webinar series

The Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Material (AICCM) Exhibitions Special Interest Group (SIG) is planning a hybrid symposium on Exhibitions: Inclusive and Sustainable Practices to be held over several months between September and November 2022. This will comprise of a:

3 free online webinars, each focusing on a different theme, from 6-8pm on Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 October 2022
2 in-person paid workshops held in Victoria in September and November.
The Exhibitions SIG Symposium 2022 aims to explore the innovations, intricacies, successes, and challenges associated with the development and delivery of exhibitions. It takes a village to put on an exhibition and so we invite diverse perspectives, experiences and ideas from everyone working in this space, including curators, registrars, designers, technicians, mount makers, emerging professionals, students, volunteers, artists and community members to share their experiences. We encourage contributions from big cities to remote locations, and everywhere in between to share current and new ways of thinking and working.

We invite abstracts for a keynote presentation and for those aligning with the three key themes of our online webinar series:

Keynote
Documentation
Collaboration
Display
