The NSW Government has announced the appointment Annette Pitman as interim Chief Executive of the Government’s Create NSW. the agency responsible for arts, screen, culture and cultural infrastructure.

Ben Franklin, Minister for the Arts, said I am committed to strengthening NSW’s position as a global arts and cultural leader with quality and accessible offerings and infrastructure that drive cultural tourism right across our state.
I am confident that Annette’s proven track record of collaboration, delivery and leadership will take Create NSW to new heights as the Government continues to deliver results for the sector and the people of NSW.
I would also like to acknowledge the current head of Create NSW, Chris Keely who will depart the organisation in March and thank him for his contribution to the sector over the last two years.
The new Chief Executive role has been created to bring together the arts and culture, screen and cultural infrastructure arms of Create NSW under a single leadership position to increase collaboration and consistency for the sector.
Ms Pitman will be appointed to a 12 month contract before the ongoing role is advertised in 2023.
