Design at Work is a Sydney based consultancy that provides comprehensive design, management and production services for exhibitions and displays.
A suite of exhibition hardware used for travelling exhibitions is now available. It includes a series of showcases of varying sizes with assorted acrylic tops as well as low plinths in two different heights. Ideally, this hardware would be offered in total (for free) to one institution to replace outdated exhibition hardware. Please note this display hardware is for interior use only.
All hardware is in good condition, having always been transported by professional removalists. It is all currently in storage in western Sydney, which would be the pick up point. Cost competitive delivery can be arranged from storage at your expense.
The showcases:
The showcases (shown above) are made from clear melamine coated MDF with black powdercoated steel corner posts. Adjustable feet ensure stability on uneven surfaces.
The display surface is brushed metal melamine board (25mm thick) with four security fittings to attach a five sided acrylic cover. The modularity of the design means that individual panels can be replaced or altered. The showcases come in two heights (all dimensions in millimetres).

The plinths:
With the same melamine top surface as the showcases, these plinths measure 600 x 1200mm (25mm thick) with removable black powdercoated steel legs. They can be grouped together to form a larger display area (eg a catwalk for mannequins). Please note that plinths should be securely attached to each other for stability. Individual plinths are not stable for walking on.
They come in two heights, 500mm (shown above) and 250mm. There are 11 at 500mm high and 14 at 250mm high. Several extra melamine tops are also available for use as floor panels or as spares for the low plinths.
