Armidale Bicentennial Railway Museum
The railway age in Armidale began in the early 1880s and profoundly transformed local social and economic life. Armidale was an important railway centre located on the main line from Sydney to Brisbane with a locomotive depot and facilities for handling all kinds of goods and livestock.
At its peak it was the largest single employer in te district. This museum commemorates the role and work of generations of local men and women who worked for this once great transport service.
