Studio Coordinator

About the role:

The City of Sydney’s Cultural Programs and Services team is seeking a motivated and organised Studio Coordinator to support the effective operation of our creative studio spaces across multiple cultural facilities.

You’ll play a key role in coordinating safe, accessible and well-functioning studio environments that support our community and our program teams. Working closely with Program Coordinators, you’ll provide technical advice, oversee studio assets and equipment, and implement best-practice operational and safety standards.

The role is hands-on and varied, combining studio operations, workplace health and safety and program support. You may also assist with the delivery of public-facing creative programs and events from time to time.

We’re looking for someone with:

• advanced ceramic technical skills encompassing kiln management, clay reclaim procedures, studio safety standards
• experience coordinating studio, workshop, creative, cultural or technical spaces
• experience applying workplace health and safety requirements within an operational environment
• strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites
• excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with tutors, contractors, staff and community participants
• a current Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one.
• a current Class C Driver Licence
