Retail Assistant

As we prepare to open the reimagined Newcastle Art Gallery, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Retail Assistant to join our team in this newly created role, working 28-hours per week.

This role requires a Retail Assistant with unparalleled sales expertise. You will showcase and promote unique creations from talented artists, designers, and makers in our dedicated Gallery and online shop. Additionally, you will champion our extraordinary Gallery merchandise, emphasising our nationally acclaimed collection and exhibitions program.

Using your engaging personality and customer-focused values you will support daily shop operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of our valued customers. Your boundless initiative and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment will make you an integral part of the team. Reporting to the Operations Lead, you will work closely with the Retail Operations Officer to ensure the Gallery’s retail enterprise achieves financial stability through strong sales and opportunities for growth.
