We are searching for a Regional Gallery Director to lead our passionate and creative Gallery team. The Gallery Director will lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Grafton Regional Gallery staff, finances, and assets in accordance with Councils organisation’s objectives. The position also provides and performs curatorial and other associated duties and ensure processes and protocols are in place for the Grafton Regional Gallery compliance with all relevant legislation and Council policies and ensure that risks are managed.
The Regional Gallery Director will actively engage with existing and potential stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and build professional partnerships.
To be successful in this position, you will be someone who can cultivate an environment of innovation and excellence within the Regional Gallery team. You will lead the delivery of a rich suite of arts and cultural projects, programs, development activities, creative infrastructure, and curatorial and collections management outcomes for Clarence Valley. Success in this role will revolve around building key relationships and partnerships with individuals, organisations, and government departments to advocate and seek support for local creative opportunities and partnerships across the Clarence Valley LGA.
