Program Coordinator
Verge Gallery is looking for a Program Coordinator.
The Program Coordinator is a creative role with a primary focus on marketing and/or digital programming. The ideal candidate for this position is an ambitious arts professional who is keen to amplify contemporary art practices within the digital space. The Program Coordinator’s core responsibility is to ensure the gallery’s strategies around audience development, communication, design and digital programming are enacted and delivered successfully. This includes but not limited to the management and coordination of the Verge website, social media platforms, digital content and gallery collateral.
This role extends into project management and the successful candidate will have proven skills that encompass proficiency in budgeting/invoicing and creating project timelines. This position reports to the Verge Director and acts as the gallery manager in their absence.

Verge Gallery at the University of Sydney (USyd) is a public art space dedicated to the presentation of Contemporary art practice. Verge Gallery’s key focus is to present interdisciplinary exhibitions from leading and emerging arts practitioners while providing the University of Sydney students, academics and visitors an arena for critical dialogue and response.
Through exhibitions and public programs, Verge acts as a vehicle for learning and skill sharing. In collaboration with the University’s faculties and the greater community, Verge programs give students experiential learning opportunities, mentorships and internships that support their educational development. Situated in the Chippendale-Redfern-Darlington creative hub, Verge expands beyond its university setting to provide exhibitions and events that are relevant to the wider community.
Established in 2009, Verge is an arm of the not-for-profit University of Sydney Union (USU), The University’s independent student organisation. The USU is student focused with a core mission to provide the best student life on campus. Verge fulfils a distinct role within the USU, as it combines enriched student experiences with learning outcomes through contemporary art practice.
