Museum Exhibition Coordinator
Opened in 2016, Orange Regional Museum is an award-winning museum dedicated to sharing engaging exhibitions and diverse public programs for audiences of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Orange Regional Museum collects, preserves, and interprets objects of significance for our local history and the history of the broader central west region.
Located within Orange’s vibrant cultural precinct, Orange Regional Museum showcases long-term and temporary local-history exhibitions alongside a program of the best travelling exhibitions from across Australia, presenting diverse topics including history, science, technology and culture.
Job/Responsibilities
Reporting to the Orange Regional Museum Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of the Museum’s temporary and travelling exhibition programs. This includes:
- Managing exhibitions, displays and special projects from initial concept through to successful delivery in consultation with the Museum Manager
- Preparing exhibition project plans, schedules and detailed costings and overseeing the design, production and installation of exhibitions
- Facilitating technical teams including Museum staff and Orange City Council personnel to produce exhibitions
- Overseeing resources, monitoring budgets, and responding to stakeholder enquires to ensure outcomes are achieved on time and within budget
