Museum and Gallery Officer
Georges River Council, a leading and people-focused organisation, is seeking two enthusiastic Museum & Gallery Officers to join our dynamic team. As part of our Hurstville Museum & Gallery, you will contribute to our vision by supporting across exhibitions, research, collections, programs and promotions.
About the Role
The Museum and Gallery Officer plays a key role in front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service through visitor engagement and supervision of exhibition spaces. You’ll support the delivery of our vibrant annual exhibition program, assisting with collection management, curatorial tasks, installations, de-installations, and exhibition openings. Your role will also include administrative support to promote exhibitions and events through publicity and displays.
Additionally, you’ll help organise and deliver a diverse range of programs and events, both within the gallery and beyond, including the Artist in Residence Program and Public Art initiatives. This role involves weekend work (7 hours Saturday, 4 hours Sunday) every second weekend.
