Manager, Major Public Events (Sydney Open)
Are you an experienced project management professional with a passion for public programs and events? We are seeking a Manager, Major Public Events (Sydney Open) to join our dedicated Production & Experience Team. Utilise your creativity, project management and stakeholder management skills to oversee the overarching planning and delivery of our highly popular Sydney Open and related programming.
What the opportunity is:
- Employment with Museums of History NSW.
- Clerk Grade 9/10. Remuneration package includes salary ($125,693 – $138,510), employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Temporary full-time employment for a period of 2 years.
- The role will work across Sydney.
What we do
MHNSW brings together the museums, historic houses and associated collections previously in the care of Sydney Living Museums with the vast collection of more than 13 million items held by the former NSW State Archives. This includes one of the world’s most complete and important collections documenting colonisation.
What you’ll do with us
This role will provide leadership and high-level project management to a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the successful delivery of the annual Sydney Open program. The program includes a large-scale, city-wide event which opens the doors to some of the city’s most significant and unique buildings, many of which are not typically accessible to the public, along with a series of monthly behind-the-scenes architectural tours and related events and initiatives. This role will focus on growing Sydney Open, to ensure its strong reputation as a highly regarded and valued MHNSW flagship program.
