Reserve Bank of Australia Museum
The Reserve Bank of Australia Museum tells the story of Australia’s banknotes against the background of the nation’s economic and social development, from before Federation through to the current era.
The permanent exhibition, Exploring Australian Banknotes, showcases the complete collection of the nation’s issued banknotes, including exceptionally rare examples.
Temporary exhibitions, such as the Collection Spotlight, showcase a changing display of documents and objects from the Bank’s rich and diverse archival collection. These displays present rarely seen items, illustrating the Bank’s past and providing historical context to Australia’s banknotes.
