About

The Lake Cargelligo Museum is a keeping place for History & memorabilia of the town and district within a 60k radius. The main hall of the museum was the old Curlew Hall where dances and all types of functions were held

We have a good collection of town history and may also be able to assist with some family history.

We have a large collection of memorabilia such as cast Iron ware bottles old Irons typewriters telephones Aboriginal artefacts lamps camera’s radios all types of house hold items such as fridges washing machines furniture and much more too numerous to mention

Out in the annex’s there are old tractors and stationary motors, horse drawn vehicles charcoal burner etc.

In the yard there are two old stationary steam engines and old horse drawn/farm machinery.

We are open on Wednesdays 10am to 4pm.

Our open Days are Saturday and Sunday of the June Long weekend 10am-4pm.

We have a working draught horse display during that time also Rope making demonstrations.

For Bus Tours, Schools or Groups bookings are essential.

Disabled toilet facilities also disabled entrance.
