Mullumbimby Museum

As you enter the main Museum you realise that the building was Mullumbimby’s first Post Office and contains many reminders from when it was built in 1907.

The Brunswick Valley Historical Society seeks to collect and conserve objects, images and documents that record the social, economic and civic history of the Brunswick Valley. We publish material relevant to the area, interpret and display the collection to engage and educate the community in their local history as well as provide research facilities.

The Brunswick Valley Historical Society Inc Museum was relocated to its present site in 1984. Summers Park, in which the Museum and Machinery Shed are located, has a replica slab cottage, outside ‘dunny’ and some equipment from the local railway, hydro power facility, brick works and two delightful drays.
