M&G NSW Board visit Armidale and Tamworth

Each year, the M&G NSW Board visits a regional area in NSW to see firsthand the sector we work with and the work these organisations do for their communities, as well as to hear about the current challenges.

Recently, the Board travelled to Armidale and Tamworth, meeting the dedicated staff and volunteers at:

  • Armidale Folk Museum
  • Armidale Aboriginal Cultural Centre & Keeping Place
  • New England Regional Art Museum
  • Saumarez Homestead
  • Australian Country Music Hall of Fame
  • Tamworth Regional Gallery
  • Tamworth Film and Sound Archive
  • Tamworth Powerstation Museum
  • Calala Cottage

They also sat down with local council staff, councillors, board members and Regional Arts Development Officer staff to hear about achievements, challenges and priorities for the region.
