Museum of the Riverina Botanic Garden site
CLOSED FOR REDEVELOPMENT RE-OPENING Autumn 2022
The Museum of the Riverina’s Botanic Garden site is one of two museum locations in Wagga Wagga supported by the City Council. The other is in the historic 1881 Town Hall building.
Three kilometres from the city centre, this Botanic Gardens site is undergoing an $8 million redevelopment to significantly improve exhibitions, visitor access and pedestrian access from the adjacent Botanic Gardens.
The exhibits at this site will include local stories of First Nations people, the Murrumbidgee river, agriculture, Defence, education and Wagga’s many famous sporting champions. This site is also where the bulk of the museum’s collection will be held.
