Cape Byron Lighthouse Maritime Museum
Located within the Cape Byron Lighthouse in the one-time head lightkeepers office, the Cape Byron Lighthouse Martitime Museum offers visitors insight into the days before fully-automated lighthouses and the long tradition of lightkeepers.
The Museum also displays images and artefacts from the days when Byron Bay was a venue for whale hunting rather than whale watching. A team of dedicated volunteers staff the museum 7 days a week and are happy to answer questions.
Guided tours to the top of the lighthouse are avialable depending on visitor numbers.
