Marketing Coordinator (Parental Leave Cover)
The Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Marketing Manager to support the development and delivery of marketing strategies which further Brand X’s objectives.
This role is for someone who is passionate about the arts industry, is naturally collaborative and is able to work in an often fast paced (but always enjoyable) environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders. This position contributes to the creation and implementation of our marketing strategies which extend Brand X’s reach and increases our profile while considering the diverse work, audiences and stakeholders of our organisation. The Marketing Coordinator works across above the line, digital and social platforms to deliver timely and engaging content contributing to reach, sales and box office targets.
Key competencies include; strong writing skills, knowledge of Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Reddit platforms, generalist marketing knowledge, strong time management and ability to work to tight deadlines with competing priorities, an ability to decipher marketing and digital trends and audience insights, and a strong passion for the arts industry.
Brand X is a not-for-profit organisation governed by a board of industry peers. It services independent artists with studio space to work and professional and creative development programs focused on resilience and sustainability, along with programs with performance outcomes. It is a uniquely responsive, nimble, and entrepreneurial organisation that aims to address the access to affordable and appropriate space in Sydney for artists to practice their craft. About the role:
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Coordinator to develop Brand X’s marketing strategy and revise as appropriate.
- Assist in the implementation of the organisation’s strategy across all channels, including; above the line, digital and social platforms; paid and organic.
- Support the creation of new marketing strategies aimed at increasing the organisation’s profile and reaching new markets.
- Contribute to the development of Brand X’s digital marketing strategy in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and external partners.
- Assist in the scheduling, coordination and delivery of digital advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, Reddit and LinkedIn, including the campaign build, timelines, budget management and ongoing optimisation.Working closely with our external digital partner who manage this.
- Work with external partners to optimise paid digital media as well as analytics and tracking for all digital channels and regularly reporting on these analytics.
- Maintain and update the company website, socials, email communications and any other digital platforms to ensure information is current and engaging.
- Coordinate ticketing website for all events (Humanitix).
- Coordinate any external what’s on and event listings on third-party websites for relevant campaigns.
- Assist with the ongoing management of Brand X’s photo and video archive.
- Monitor general marketing and digital marketing trends and audience insights that are relevant to the company’s marketing objectives and assist in the research, development and implementation of new initiatives.
- Be across company data in addition to competitors to assist in providing advice and input in the development of marketing campaigns, strategies and plans.
- Assist in liaising with external graphic designer on marketing collateral and roll out of this collateral across internal and external channels.
- Maintain brand identity, ensuring that it is consistent across all platforms and ensure this is being upheld by all internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to all approvals processes internally and externally – informed by the Marketing Manager.
- Work within budget as provided by Marketing Manager and regularly provide updates on expenditure to the Marketing Manager.
- Deliver on growth targets as defined in the Marketing strategy.
Skills:
- Marketing experience within the arts, entertainment or live events industry
- Strong copy writing skills.
- A strong passion and knowledge for the arts industry
- Experience with Mailchimp or a similar EDM platform
- Experience in WordPress or similiar
- Desirable but not necessary: video content creation and editing, experience in live music and/or events, knowledge of design software such as the Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
