We’re excited to offer a permanent opportunity for a driven, passionate individual with a love for literacy, leadership, and hands-on business management. If you’re enthusiastic about fostering community engagement, this role is for you!

In this role you’ll oversee the library, facility hire, cultural programming, and community engagement. Your focus will be on managing service points, creating dynamic and inclusive programs, workshops, learning experiences, and creative events, that connect people with literacy, culture, and each other. Leading a small, dedicated team, this is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You’ll be responsible for delivering contemporary business plans, driving community engagement, and ensuring our cultural hubs are welcoming, innovative, and well-utilised spaces.

The position is currently based at Cardiff and Speers Point Libraries and requires flexibility to operate across the network of facilities within the Lake Macquarie local government area. The role operates on a flexible roster including regular weekends, based on a roster spanning from Monday through to Sunday; 8.00am to 9.00pm.
