The Port Macquarie Museum has been awarded Bronze in the Cultural Tourism category at the Australian Tourism Awards, recognising it as one of the nation’s top cultural attractions. Announced on 21 March 2025 in Adelaide, the awards celebrate excellence in tourism across Australia.

This recognition follows the museum’s Gold win at the NSW Tourism Awards in 2024, highlighting its dedication to preserving and sharing Port Macquarie’s rich history. The museum offers visitors a deep dive into the stories that have shaped the region through immersive exhibitions and carefully curated collections.

Located in Port Macquarie’s cultural precinct at 22 Clarence Street, the museum is open Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm. Admission fees contribute to the museum’s operations, helping to preserve its heritage-listed Store building and collections as part of an independent, not-for-profit organisation.
