City of Sydney Lunchtime Conversations
26 May - 30 Jun 2021
Lunchtime Conversations is a series of expert lunchtime talks with authors, artists and experts. It is delivered as a hybrid event – in person at Darling Square Library and online via Zoom.
The Bike Book Machine – Wednesday 26 May from 1pm to 2pm
Join interdisciplinary artist Bek Conroy for a discussion of her Bike Book Machine, a pedal powered curated bookshelf.
From the tiny library movement to the recent shift in libraries as knowledge centres and maker spaces, there’s lots of exciting new things emerging from this space.
Using Bike-Book-Machine, a nomadic library on a bike, as her starting point, Bek will take you on a road trip through its genesis and speak to the urgency for new forms of gathering and ways that hacking the library space can invigorate public discourse.
Discover Sydney’s online Archives and History Resources – Wednesday 30 June from 1pm to 2pm
