Gallery76 (Embroiderers’ Guild NSW)
We are a NFP organisation established in 1957 for the promotion and preservation of embroidery and textile art. To this end, the Embroiderers’ Guild NSW has recently redeveloped their Sydney headquarters in Concord West into a three storey Centre of Excellence for Embroidery and Textile Arts. The centre includes a specialist textile library, collection room, workshop and classrooms, as well as a gallery – Gallery76, for the further promotion of textile art and artists. Education has always been a key part of the Guild’s activities with dedicated Education, Junior & Student Stitchers teams overseeing our Junior Stitchers Clubs across the state, school holiday workshops, workshops from visiting artists, Summer School programme, and High-School programmes. Gallery76 is the Sydney’s only specialist textile art gallery and hosts exhibitions of both contemporary and historic textile and embroidery art.
