2022 / 23 has been the making of Storyplace

We are at the tail end of the second major phase of developing the Storyplace website. This ends a phase of two years work with six regional collection Hubs – Albury LibraryMuseum, Lake Macquarie Cultural Centre, Maitland City Council Libraries, Shoalhaven Regional Gallery, Tamworth Regional Gallery and Warrumbungle Shire Council.

This phase of the project saw the website launched and over 500 new object stories added to Storyplace as our Hubs worked with over 25 spokes to undertake digitisation.  It is fair to say then that the work carried out in 2022/23 has been the making of Storyplace. But we couldn’t have succeeded in this project without the work we first undertook in Central and Far West of NSW in 2018, which resulted in the Collections and Stories prototype website, the predecessor to Storyplace.
