Macquarie University Biology Discovery Centre
Originally called The Biological Sciences Museum, the collection slowly grew in the early 1970’s from University student projects and research collections. Renamed in 2022, the Biology Discovery Centre houses a range of material on- and off-display. The exhibits are themed around skeletons and skulls, fossils and major taxonomic groups of animals. Further displays can be seen extending into display cabinets along the corridors of the adjacent building.
The material is utilised for undergraduate teaching, research and general viewing. The space is open to all visitors and is easily accessible and tours and activities can be crafted for specific needs and interests.
