Lone Goat Gallery
Lone Goat Gallery is a contemporary art space on Bundjalung Country, presenting a year-round program of ten curated exhibitions that highlight the diversity and vitality of the Northern Rivers arts community. Showcasing both emerging and established practitioners from the region and beyond, the Gallery supports artistic experimentation, dialogue, and connection.
Established in 2013 and named after the last lone goat of Cape Byron Headland, the Gallery is one of Byron Bay’s key cultural venues. Our program includes rotating exhibitions, artist talks, First Nations storytelling, workshops, and guided experiences that foster meaningful engagement with contemporary practice.
An initiative of Byron Shire Council, Lone Goat Gallery is committed to being an accessible, welcoming space for all audiences. Located within the Byron Bay Library and adjacent to Jarjumirr Skate Park, the Gallery offers accessible facilities, free two-hour parking, and activities designed to support creative learning for younger visitors.
Whether visiting for a single exhibition or following the program across the year, audiences are invited to explore the ideas, perspectives, and imaginations of Northern Rivers artists. Lone Goat Gallery is a place to encounter contemporary art, spark curiosity, and engage deeply with the creative culture of our region.
